Summary

Great race and atmosphere! Quick 1 mile sprint with great crowd support and a lot of runners! Slightly downhill, slightly uphill, back to a slight downhill, and flat for each quarter mile. Race was organized wonderfully based on age for start.

New Balance 5th Avenue Mile

This race was great. It was wonderfully organized. The race souvenir was New Balance shorts which are a great quality. The cost is expensive but being able to be in the atmosphere with professional runners and a television crew is different from other races. Plenty of areas to warm up and cool down as it is right next to Central Park!

Experience

This was my fourth race with NYRR. I ran in college for a year but haven’t really sprinted. This was a fun race where you could sprint to the finish line. The street was wide so there was a good amount of space for everyone which felt good if you felt like speeding up. Great race overall and excited with my time!
